Play Nice

I've played a bit of it today and I think its great. Very similar to the first but different! Anyway gotta go play more. I'll be more constructive when I've finished the game!

An eagerly awaited game in the Dragon Quest saga. Having only played Dragon Quest 8 on the PS2 I am only following the Dragon Quest games and not the earlier Dragon Warrior games. Anyway I really liked 8 so I was waiting patiently for this one to come along. I think about a year after it came out I finally got around to playing it! That's how much I'd been wanting to play this game! Right ok so the fact that you play a slime in this game was a little disappointing... Especially after playing a Dragovian Prince in DQ8. (That should have had a spoiler alert... ooops) And seeing as the slime is the first, worst enemy, I had my doubts. Once you get past that though the game is very enjoyable. You start of playing with your slime friends in the palace garden (leading me to belive the "Hero" was royal again. Alas no! He's the son of a palace guard). You find a "warrior flute" and then your dad shouts abuse at you and you swallow it and the flute. Good job too ...

This awesome Littlebigplanet sackboy movie was recently released, in the style of a documentary. I also pre-ordered my copy of Littlebigplanet a few days ago and have also now got 4 controllers for my playstation 3! I am prepared!

I agree with all these statements and also some others that I didn't feel comfortable in posting!

Everythings going fine, sure theres been a few fights between surge the lickitoad who wears a detective hat and turned red after i forced him to eat that apple and Andrew the newt who has an attitude and had to be sold to resolve the issue. The Pengums just watched, they watch a lot because they are too stupid to go into their house at night which is actually a fridge, probably mourning over peter who got smacked by professor pester and his sweets went everywhere, no-one got his top-hat afterwards either. That taffly is playing the trumpet again!! Oh but thats the other garden where 'Larry the Crab' the Custacean and Joe the Cocoadile live, thats a desert, there was a smelba there at one point that made stinks at who-ever wanted to mate and they dont bother anymore, there was a macaracoon but he got stuck on a house and died because the doctor who drives a pedal car and cant talk properly couldnt get past the crab house which is a sandcastle which he was stuck on. Littlebigplanet is arguably one of the most anticipated games coming out this year. Over the next 2 months nearing the game launch I will show you why this game is going to be the best game this year. This week I will be quickly touching on the character and customization. Sackboy. He may be Sonys next Big Mascot. Sony hasn't really had as iconic a character as Sonic or Mario. Crash Bandicoot back in the original Playstation days was probably as close as you got to a Sony Playstation Mascot. Sony seem pretty convinced that Sackboy may become Sonys new big mascot, and with the hype surrounding Littlebigplanet you can see why. Sackboy is special though, he isnt just the one character who always remains the same. He is fully customizable. Once your ingame, from the popit menu you can customize your character with the various items that you'll find. You can also stick stickers and a plethora of ingame content to your sackboy and really make him unique. If 80s Disco is your thing, ...

I'm playing Resident Evil 3... again... only this time I've run out of shotgun shells quite early on as I've used all my gun powder B up by mixing it with gun powder A to make... (you guessed it) gun powder C and then mixing three gun powder C's in the "realoading tool" to make magnum ammo. (who'd have thunk it?) Anyway, the point I'm slowly making my way towards, in relation to Cassy's post, is this: Why is the hand gun so crap? You're an elite STARS member, you think you'd be able to pop all the zombies in the head but nooooooooooo! "I'm Jill Valentine and I can only shoot at the torso unless I've got the magnum equiped in which case I can only shoot at the head". And back to the ammo - its amazing how you can make all these different rounds by using only 3 different types of gun powder. Look at the grenade rounds: You can make grenades, ok I get that. With enough gun powder you can make a big ass bullet that goes BANG b...

Here at work, rather than working I think deep thoughts. Today my thoughts (stress might have something to do with this!) were focused on some of the best weapons I've come across in my limited area of play. Polka’s Umbrella- Eternal Sonata: You’ve got to give a girl credit if she carries a frilly umbrella into a battle with a huge face-eating dragon monster at the ends of the earth. For one thing, they aren’t the most stable of weapons; even an upward draft can turn ‘em inside out. Although if you’re lucky enough to be able to combine one with pretty magical flower powers you should be able to take on anything and still look cute. James’ Secret Chainsaw- Silent Hill 2: It’s absolutely useless. You can choose to find this either irritating or amusing. Once you finally manage to tear into your enemy- typically the faceless, arm-tied, shiny mannequin types that spit on you- you’ve lost half your health and the will to live, but are graced with a nightmarish spatter of blood (the...

A follow up on the last post and regarding tv not games as I like to take a break from gaming every now and again... I don't know how much truth there is in this but I am told that Red Dwarf is coming back with a finale a bit like Men Behaving Badly did with Last Orders. Apparently the whole crew are back in a five episode final series. Not sure what is gunna happen in these episodes so the truth will be in the watching. I don't know now if the plans for the film have been axed or what but it seems likely. I'll be keeping my ear to the ground for any more news.

I've just finished watching the second series of The Mighty Boosh and it's great! I think I liked series 1 the best so far with all the crazy antics Howard and Vince get up to in the Zoo-niverse. The best moment was probably the bit where Howard is accused of bumming the fox, well not that bit but the bit where the fox tells him to stay away. That and the story of Charlie the bubblegum man spitting Inuet bullets at the crocodile! (Random) Series two had some gems at the end with the Legend of Old Gregg and his man-gina and The Nightmare of Milky Joe! I look forward to series three and hopefully some more after that too with any luck!

Well i've decided to start playing the addictive game World of Warcraft again, oh yes. It definitely drains your life away, but its something to do eh? Anyway i'll be keeping you up to date on all things WoWy (as its affectionately known). I will mostly be including updates on my two favourite classes Mages and Shamans. Wrath of the Lich King isn't too far away now either so expect some news on that, and also class changes that will undoubtedly ensue with the expansion. Episode 2 in the COD 4 saga of mine... After the shenanigans of the previous mission I was a little worried about this one. From what I gather, this guy makes a tv show that the Sarge really hates. Being massively over funded, we were sent in to persuade this guy to stop filming this programme. Needless to say it all got a bit violent - tempers were high and it was really hot and I dont know, it all just went a bit tits up. I don't think it helped that I smashed up the producers car when we got there. In hindsight I can see why he was so angry. Anyway during our "exchange" in the lobby, this guy must have slipped out because there was no one there when we got to the recording studio. At this point Sarge was irrate! The bum boy had only gone and aired the program! That was it... We all knew what was ahead of us... When we go to the pub later... We'll have to put up with... ... "I'm an Arabian counter terrorist Pop Idol, get me outta here and sign me up to a $1...

The boxart for the upcoming sonic unleashed has hit the inter web..net, and its actually pretty good! Sonic transforms into a were-hog in the game, so the box-art has half sonic (clever) and half were-sonic (so clever). Pretty good idea, it works..I wondered what the boxart would look like if sonic transformed into other things, more interesting things. This is what the boxart would look like if sonic transformed into a goldfish at night: This is what the boxart would look like if, when the moon was full, sonic turned into a George Forman grill. Well the Star Wars Force Unleashed demo has finally been released on XBLA and PSN. I downloaded it last night and had a quick go this morning. It wasn't bad but unfortunately I don't think it lives up to the hype that was made of it. The controls are average and the running and animation of the main character just feels clunky. The physics and effects are pretty good and its definitely satisfying picking up storm troopers and flinging them around and generally bullying them. The graphics are good in places but the demo doesn't really show them off as its generally a sparse environment inside what I think is a star destroyer ship. I was looking forward to this game and unfortunately the demo has spoilt it a bit, I might still pick it up but its looking less likely. Hopefully they'll make some changes to improve on some of the shortcomings in the demo. Anyway, if you downloaded the demo on either PSN or XBLA then let me know what you though of it in the comments.

According to google and it's users, the best computer game in the world is... TETRIS... Hmmm, I disagree. There are probably one million games better than tetris at least. Obviously I'm not including the cheap PS1 games you could pick up in your local Spar. They WERE crap! I don't know which game is the best in the world as I haven't played them all and then it would only be the best game in the world in my opinion... Serves me right for doing such a pointless google search I guess, but I was bored... Anyway, rant over.

Just been looking through some of the Mega64 videos and this one almost split my sides! I can't really say anything about it, it will spoil the surprise. Its just a good reminder that if some things in computer games happened in real life, how ridiculously stupid it would look. Be sure to check out there site , those guys have really got guts.

Well, for those of you that know me I'm sure you won't be surprised to find that my first entry is about my most recent fandom : The World Ends with You, a sparkling and trendy adventure rpg from Square Enix and Jupiter on the Nintendo DS . The first thing you'll notice about TWEWY , as it is known endearingly, is the character art done by Tetsuya Nomura , famed for the Kingdom Hearts design. If you weren ’t a fan of the Square Disney mix-up then don’t be so quick to write TWEWY off. The storyline is deep and involving while sometimes dark, the characters are well fleshed out with good development, and the game play is all-consuming! Who doesn ’t want to while the day away buying flashy new clothes according to popular brands? Initially the battle system may seem daunting, but automatic take-over is your friend! Take time to get to know your stylus motions on the touch screen and you’ll soon by acing the combat. With so many plot twists to expose and so much mastering ...

Apparently the demo for the new star wars game "The Force Unleashed" will be releasing this coming thursday on XBLA and PSN! All those looking forward to some dark sided star wars action keep an eye out for it. Hopefully this news means the european XBLA and PSN also, otherwise i'll be angry... and you won't like me when im angry!

Well im feeling quite proud of myself, having finally finished Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow on DS recently. I was literally stuck for about a year on that game, after having explored the map about 20 times and getting very frustrated it went on hold.. for a long time. About 2 weeks ago I decided to give it another go but again had no idea what I needed to do.I grudginly looked up on a walkthrough and tried to find what point I was upto on the game. Even that took hours. But I finally figured it all out, and finished the game! That game certainly lasted me a long time.. and now im onto the second DS castlevania. Heres hoping it doesn't go through the same treatment. On another note, Naruto is back out of filler again starting next episode! Thatta make-a me happppy!!

I've just started playing call of duty 4 and so far so good. I've been grenaded and I left a smooshed up corpse but appart from that its all good. My training went well... I got completely lost and the captain guy was shouting at me and I was shouting back - not that he could hear me as the tv is only one way! After that I thought I deserved a holiday so we all went on a helicopter to drop us off on a cruise. However, when we got there the crew we're being right arsey! And to make matters worse the had a nucular bomb on board. Whilst in the procces of explaining to them why this was such a bad idea (with bullets mind), we were bombed by some migs and our boat sank... :( I managed to jump onto the helicopter just in time but that put me in a foul mood for the rest of the day... I was looking forward to that cruise too. Later, some foreign guy was killed on tv so we went in to rescue a russian for some reason... I liked the party at the house where there were no lights. Thank...

Rightio, ive changed the theme and whipped up a quick text logo in photoshop (took about 2 minutes). What does everyone think ? If anyone wants to put in some effort and make a cool looking logo then please do, i cant really be bothered!

Well, went on a little shopping trip while we were visiting Andy and Cassy and we found a boxset of the entire series of Love Hina.. for only £20! So i pondered it and eventually decided to buy it. If youve never seen the series then I urge you to see a few episodes. It gets funnier and funnier throughout the series and is a must watch for Comedy Anime fans! Another good Anime thats worth a watch is Ninja Nonsense. Very funny and full of dirty jokes, just my kind of humour!
